St Edmund’s College, Ware, is celebrating the successful conclusion of its sold-out musical production, ‘Made in Dagenham’, which ran over four nights in the lead up to Easter. Held in the Douai Hall at the school, the full-scale production captivated audiences with its poignant narrative and stellar student performances.

Featuring a cast of 46 talented pupils, the show was inspired by true events and the hit movie of the same name. Set against the backdrop of the 1968 Ford sewing machinists strike in Dagenham, the production showcased the resilience and determination of the women who fought for equal pay and recognition. Through powerful storytelling and dynamic musical numbers, the cast and behind the scenes staff brought this important chapter of history to life beautifully on stage.

Tom Veasey, Head of Musical Theatre at St Edmund’s College, said: “We are thrilled with the overwhelming response to our production of Made in Dagenham. It has been a tremendous journey to bring this story to the stage and we are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication that our talented students have demonstrated throughout the process. Well done to all involved.”
