Leweston hosts annual Cross Country Relays

Leweston School hosted the annual Girls’ Cross Country relays on Thursday 17 November, welcoming schools from Somerset and Dorset, with students ranging from Prep 4 to Year 13.

Leweston School hosted the annual Girls’ Cross Country relays on Thursday 17 November, welcoming schools from Somerset and Dorset, with students ranging from Prep 4 to Year 13.

In the Senior Race, Lucy B took 2nd place, whilst Lucy, Millie, Daisy and Ellen also achieved the silver medal as a team. With a number of the usual Inter team runners competing for the school in the County Round of the U14 National Netball Cup on the same afternoon, the Inters team were led home by Darcie N in 11th .

In the Juniors event, Katrina S led the team home in 20th place.

In the Minors’ race it was a brilliant afternoon for the Leweston Prep girls with the A Team (Izzy K, Tilly W, Bessie S and Charlotte S) coming 1st and the B Team (Freya D, Sadie L, Scarlett T and Lucy C) coming 3rd! Izzy K also finished with Individual Bronze. Further congratulations to the other four Prep girls; Lucia G, Lara P, Lexie C and Mia P for running brilliantly in the lovely autumn sunshine.

Leweston was joined by Bryanston Prep, Bryanston, Millfield Prep, Thomas Hardye, Sir John Colfox, Yarrells, Budmouth Academy, Talbot Heath, Clayesmore, Sherborne Girls, and Hanford for a fantastic afternoon of Cross Country.
