Dauntseyβs has celebrated the tenth anniversary of its Manor Marathon. The event involves Lower School pupils cycling 26 miles between Bath Abbey, along the canal path, returning to The Manor, the Dauntseyβs Lower School boarding house. A total of 33 pupils completed the Marathon, supported by five parents, while a further six pupils ran parts of the course.
Anne Sampson, House Mistress, The Manor, said:
βIt was lovely to be covering the route from Bath Abbey again, rather than holding a virtual event as we have had to do for the past two years.
βIt was fantastic to see so many pupils really digging deep to complete one of the biggest physical challenges that many of them have ever encountered. They certainly deserved the barbecue lunch when they arrived back at school!
βMany thanks to everyone involved in making the event such a success, in particular those parents who cycled the route.β
