Queen’s College shortlisted for prestigious StudyTravel Award for Best European School

Posted: 4th February 2026

Queen’s College, Taunton has been shortlisted for Best European School at the highly regarded StudyTravel Secondary School Awards, placing the College among a select group of leading schools recognised across Europe.

The StudyTravel Awards are distinctive in that finalists are nominated and voted for by international education agents. These professionals work closely with schools and families worldwide and are widely regarded as experts within the global education sector. Being shortlisted reflects sustained quality of provision, strong pupil experience and the confidence of those working at the forefront of international education.

While the awards have an international focus, this recognition speaks to the strength of Queen’s College as a whole. The same values, academic ambition, pastoral care and sense of community experienced by international pupils are shared by families locally and across the UK.

Helen Kingaby, Director of International Admissions at Queen’s College, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for Best European School. To be recognised by international agents, who have deep knowledge of schools across Europe and beyond, is particularly meaningful. It is a strong endorsement of the care, consistency and quality that define the Queen’s experience.”

Julian Noad, Head of College, added:

“Recognition like this is never the reason we build our community, but it is genuinely pleasing to see what we value so deeply here in Taunton recognised on a global stage. Queen’s is built on relationships, shared ambition and a belief in every individual, and it is our community of pupils, parents and staff who make this possible.”

Families are warmly encouraged to step inside an internationally recognised school and experience first hand what makes Queen’s College distinctive.
