Felsted Pyjama Day Helps Children Access Bedtime Stories

Posted: 31st May 2022

Felsted School’s youngest pupils have raised £130 for the Book Trust after taking part in ‘Pyjamarama Day’!

Staff and pupils came to school in their pyjamas and took part in story-filled fun including reading, enjoying, and sharing stories to help raise vital funds.

The Book Trust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, reaching millions of children across the UK each year with books, resources and support. The money raised by Felsted pupils will help make sure that every child can access a bedtime story.

‘Felsted Prep had a magical day immersed in their favourite books’ comments Felsted’s Head of Pre-Prep Mrs Jacqueline Atkins. ‘It’s great that we were able to promote the importance of reading, while raising money for a very important charity cause.’

Felsted Prep School currently holds the Early Years Quality Mark for dedication to a creative curriculum which is not confined to a classroom, helping to provide a nurturing yet challenging education. Those interested in entry at ages 4-7 are invited to attend a Bugtastics Taster Session (for 2023 entry) on the 15 June 2022.
