Oxbridge Scholars is a pre-university summer programme based at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, designed for students aged 14–17 who are beginning to explore their academic interests and consider future study pathways.
The 2026 programme will run from 5 July – 18 July 2026, bringing together students from over 23 countries worldwide, including the UK. This creates a diverse learning environment where students are exposed to different perspectives, cultures, and ways of thinking within a shared academic setting.
During the two-week residential experience, students engage with one of three academic pathways: Health & Medicine, Business & Finance, and AI & Computer Science. Each pathway introduces subject learning beyond the school curriculum, with a focus on discussion, critical thinking, and understanding how knowledge is applied in real-world contexts.
Learning takes place in an interactive format, including seminars, group discussions, and guided academic activities. This approach encourages students to participate actively, develop confidence in expressing ideas, and learn how to engage with complex topics in a structured way.
Alongside academic sessions, students take part in career-focused workshops, talks, and mentoring sessions with academics and professionals. These activities are designed to help students understand how different subjects connect to future study options and career pathways.
A key part of the programme is personalised one-to-one academic and career guidance. This allows students to reflect on their strengths and interests, supporting them as they begin to consider subject choices and longer-term academic goals.
The residential experience at Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, is supported by 24/7 safeguarding and pastoral care, ensuring students are looked after in a structured, safe, and well-supported environment throughout their stay.
