Chinese ‘will shun British private schools if Labour adds VAT to fees’
Chinese families are likely to shun private schools in Britain if VAT is added to fees, a new report suggests.
Those parents sending their children overseas to schools in the UK are not all super-wealthy, according to the Boarding Schools Association (BSA) which published the report.
Its findings are based on a survey of almost 1,000 Chinese parents. It also reveals that the perceived discrimination of Oxbridge against private schools is putting them off the UK.
