Chigwell School has hosted its inaugural Student Leadership Conference, bringing together more than 60 student leaders from local schools.
The conference included students from Chigwell School, Copleston High School, Oaks Park High School and Ilford County High School.
The focus was on developing communication, confidence and interpersonal skills essential for effective student leadership, helping pupils to make positive impacts in their own school communities.
The say, led by leadership coach Charlie Warshawski of Love Your Coaching, gave students the chance to work with peers from other schools, explore the link between communication and leadership, and reflect on how to influence others positively.
Tom Burnside, Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Chigwell School, said: βStudent leadership is about far more than holding a badge or position of responsibility. The most effective young leaders are those who can communicate with confidence, listen thoughtfully and bring people together.
βWe are delighted to welcome pupils from a number of partner schools and to provide an opportunity for them to learn from one another, share ideas and further develop these important life skills.β
Chigwell School is a co-ed independent boarding and day school in the Epping Forest district of Essex.
