Lancing Prep Worthing is inviting local families to a FREE Pirate-themed Adventure Afternoon on Friday 25 September, 2–4pm, celebrating the launch of its newly rebranded Nursery & Pre School: Explorers’ Corner.

The re-brand coincides with Miss Street’s promotion from Deputy Nursery & Pre-School Manager to Head of the Nursery and Pre-School, marking an exciting new chapter for the setting’s early years provision.

Importantly, this re-branding will not impact daily operations. Instead, it represents a strategic step towards providing a clearer, more focused identity for the nursery, reflecting its commitment to supporting each child’s individual development.

Explorers’ Corner Nursery and Pre-School prides itself on creating a nurturing learning environment that celebrates the unique needs and interests of every child. Recognising that children develop at their own pace, the dedicated team work to foster a positive and enriching start to their educational journey, underpinned by the school’s own Learning Powers framework, which helps children build the thinking and resilience skills they will draw on throughout their lives.

Located within the main school grounds at Lancing Prep Worthing, the nursery benefits from being part of a vibrant school community, offering access to extensive facilities and resources. The highly qualified and experienced staff maintain high staff-to-child ratios, ensuring personalised attention and a family-like atmosphere.

Children aged 2-4 years enjoy spacious indoor and outdoor areas where they can explore, play and learn together. The setting encourages mixing of all children within the age group, promoting peer learning and social development. Additionally, specialist sessions in Art, Science, Music, PE and the Explore Curriculum enrich the week, alongside weekly Italian lessons delivered by the Head, Mrs Milling. Pre-School children also benefit from swimming sessions at Lancing College’s pool.

Fees include nutritious mid-morning snacks and hot, cooked lunches prepared on-site by dedicated chefs. Children eat together in the dining hall alongside Reception and Pre-Prep pupils, fostering a sense of community.
