OIC Student Wins Prestigious Oxford Scholarship

Posted: 15th May 2026

We are delighted to congratulate Yr 13 student Charmaine on being awarded the highly prestigious Kwok Scholarship to study PPE at the University of Oxford. This extraordinary achievement places her among two students recognised each year for exceptional academic promise, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact beyond the classroom.

During her time at Oxford International College, Charmaine has consistently demonstrated intellectual ambition and determination across a wide range of activities. From representing OIC at Model United Nations conferences to excelling in economics and public speaking programmes, she has embraced every opportunity with maturity, confidence, and purpose.

“Charmaine is exactly the kind of student the Kwok Scholarship was designed to support:academically exceptional, socially conscious, and committed to meaningful impact.”

Bill O’Brien-Blake Vice Principal, Academic

The scholarship follows a rigorous selection process, including securing an offer for one of Oxford’s most competitive degree courses before progressing through additional assessments focused on leadership, character, and societal contribution. The entire OIC community is incredibly proud of Charmaine and excited to see all she will achieve in the future.
