Embley School’s U15 rugby team has been crowned National Bowl Champions following a commanding 40–17 victory over Richard Hale School in the Continental Tyres Schools U15 National Bowl final at the Trailfinders Sports Club in Ealing. The win marks Embley’s first-ever national rugby title.

The team has had an outstanding season. They remained unbeaten in their autumn Saturday fixtures and were crowned Hampshire Schools County Champions. With 213 schools from across the country participating in this prestigious competition, emerging as champions reflects the character, commitment and outstanding ability of this team.

The team had support from the whole school community throughout the tournament and on finals day, five coaches of Embley students, staff and parents travelled to Ealing to be on the sidelines supporting the team and the match was streamed live across the school site in Romsey.

“This is a truly historic day for Embley Sport. Our U15 rugby team produced an outstanding performance to become National Bowl Champions, and we could not be prouder of them. The boys’ dedication, teamwork and resilience throughout the season and particularly in the final were exceptional.

“What made the day even more special was the incredible support from our wider school community. Seeing so many students, staff and parents on the touchline cheering the team on created an unforgettable atmosphere and reminded us all of the power of school spirit,” said Gareth Richards, Embley’s Director of Sport.
