Students at DLD College London, a multi-award-winning independent school, recently participated in an inspiring and thought-provoking session delivered by barrister Will Baylis-Allen.
Hosted by the Insight Society at the Westminster Bridge Road-based college, Will shared with the students an invaluable insight into his personal journey to the Bar and offered a glimpse into life in the legal profession. He spoke candidly, sharing an insider’s perspective on the challenges, opportunities and rewards of pursuing a career in law, while offering valuable advice on academic pathways and developing the mindset required for success in the demanding field.
Will’s openness and encouragement left a strong impression on the engaged DLD cohort. Students praised the session as both motivating and informative, with many leaving feeling more confident about exploring law as a potential career pathway. By bringing real-world experience to the classroom, Will helped demystify the profession and encouraged meaningful discussion among aspiring legal minds.
James Kidd, Principal at DLD College London, commented, “We were delighted to welcome Will Baylis-Allen to our college. His insights and encouragement offered our students a unique perspective on the legal profession and inspired them to think about their own ambitions. Opportunities like this bring learning to life, enrich student understanding and inspire ambition across a wide range of disciplines.”
