WPA recently welcomed students from Huish for a morning as part of the Collegeβs EnRICH Day which aims to provide students with high-quality experiences beyond the classroom.
This visit reflects the strong and valued relationship between Huish and WPA, a partnership that continues to open doors for young people within a successful and vibrant company.
During the session, students toured WPAβs facilities, met staff, including several Huish alumni, and learned about the inner workings of the business. The focus of the day was on developing employability skills, with practical training on interview techniques and CV writing.
One student, Lily, shared her thoughts: βFirstly, thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity. I found the information about CV writing really useful, especially with what to include in one, how to lay it out, and what employers look for in a good CV.β
Huish is proud to offer these enrichment opportunities, helping students prepare for life beyond education. Vice Principal, Becky Flower shared βWe look forward to our next visit to WPA, which will focus on providing similar experiences for some of our learners with SEN needs, ensuring that every student benefits from these valuable opportunitiesβ.
