Our boarding pupils and musicians recently visited Red Holme Care Home to mark Remembrance Day alongside the residents. The event began with a moving reading of “Lest We Forget” by Abby and Jess, followed by a beautifully played rendition of The Last Post by Ismail. After a minute’s silence, the atmosphere lifted with a series of fun and heartwarming performances that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. It was wonderful to see our pupils chatting and connecting with the residents — moments that truly reflected the spirit of remembrance, respect, and unity between generations. The visit reminded us all of the importance of coming together as a community to honour the past and celebrate the bonds that link young and old alike. The residents enjoyed the visit so much that they have invited our pupils to return next month to perform some Christmas carols.
