On Wednesday 15th October, we were delighted to welcome Dr Charlotte Clarke to Chigwell School as part of our ongoing “Chigwell Conversations” series.
Following the success of Dr Dominique Thompson’s visit, this latest event continued our commitment to supporting parents and fostering wellbeing across our community.
Dr Clarke, founder of When the Parents Change, is a renowned parenting coach and psychotherapist whose work centres on the transformative power of parental self-awareness. Her seminar offered a compelling blend of personal stories, psychological insight, and practical strategies designed to help parents move from reactive parenting to conscious connection.
Throughout the evening, Dr Clarke explored how small shifts in mindset and behaviour can lead to profound changes in family dynamics. Her message was clear: when parents lead with calm, clarity, and compassion, children thrive.
Reflecting on the evening, Mr Tom Burnside, Deputy Head, Pastoral, shared: “It was fantastic to see so many parents engaging with the ideas and sharing their own experiences. Events like these are a testament to the strength of our community and our shared commitment to nurturing confident, resilient young people.”
We look forward to welcoming you to future “Chigwell Conversations” events, where we’ll continue to explore the topics that matter most – education, parenting, wellbeing, and personal development.
