Taunton School has announced the appointment of its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jennifer Agnew.
Jennifer is set to join Taunton School in April 2026 from her current role as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors at Kimbolton School in Cambridgeshire.
Prior to her current position, Jennifer amassed a wealth of experience in senior legal, financial, and governance roles, including as Head of Legal and Governance at England and Great Britain Hockey and 16 years in various roles in the British Army advising on and prosecuting criminal and non-criminal conduct matters and managing strategic change projects in the UK and NATO.
“I am thrilled to have been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Taunton School.” said Jennifer of her new appointment. “I very much look forward to being part of the team, contributing to shaping and securing the School’s future continued success.”
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Laws with German degree from the University of Dundee, a Master of Laws in Sports Law and Practice from De Montfort University, and several postgraduate qualifications in law and strategic leadership and management.
A keen sportswoman, Jennifer has played hockey at club, regional and Army level and is an L1 England Hockey Coach and a Swim England J1 Official.
As the School’s COO, Jennifer will lead its operational services and more than 300 members of operational staff. She joins Taunton School at an exciting time in its 178-year history with the impending completion of a 140-bed boarding facility which will unite students of more than 60 nationalities on one campus.
Jennifer will be accompanied to Somerset by her husband Rob and two young sons Thomas and Henry.
