St Swithun’s Sixth Form Students Celebrate Oxbridge Offers

Upper sixth formers at St Swithun’s in Winchester are celebrating receiving offers to study at Oxford or Cambridge universities following their successful applications. 11% of St Swithun’s UCAS applicants, from the current U6 and the class of 2023, are now hoping to take up their places on a range of courses including Natural Sciences – Physical, Modern Languages – German and Italian, Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, Human, Social and Political Sciences, History, English and Linguistics & Italian.

 

This the third year in a row that more than 10% of applicants have received offers from Oxford or Cambridge universities.

Offers have also been received by St Swithun’s A level students to study competitive courses at other top UK and international universities.

Head of Sixth Form Nick Fyfe said: “We are delighted to share the news of the conditional offers from the prestigious universities of Oxford and Cambridge. This accomplishment underscores our students’ exceptional dedication and intellectual curiosity, and the unwavering support of our school community. We applaud them for aiming high and achieving outstanding success on their academic journey. Congratulations on these well-deserved offers.”
