Bishop’s Stortford College included in the Cricketer’s guide to the top UK for schools for cricket 2024.

The UK’s best schools for cricket have been revealed in the Cricketer’s Schools Guide 2024, with Bishop’s Stortford College appearing once again in both the Top 100 Senior School and Top 50 Prep/Junior School categories.

The guide includes both independent and state-funded schools, with entries judged against an extensive set of criteria focused around demonstrating compelling commitment to cricket in the curriculum, facilities, fixture programmes and coaching.

Commenting on Bishop’s Stortford College’s inclusion in the Cricketer Schools Guide 2024, Director of Sport, Health and Fitness, Evan Stewart, said, “A large number of schools submit entries into the Cricketer’s School Guide each year, so it is fantastic that our commitment to delivering an outstanding cricket programme for boys and girls, across both our Senior and Prep schools has once again been recognised by the judging panel.”

Stewart continues, “Our inclusive cricket programme led by Heads of Cricket, David Hughes and Hannah Fordham, ensures that all pupils, of any standard, have exposure to a competitive cricket environment. The exponential growth we continue to see, specifically in girls’ cricket, has been exceptional and we look forward to driving this forward further in the coming season with the addition of a second set of cricket nets in the Sports Hall over the Christmas period, ready for winter nets.”

See Bishop’s Stortford College for further information on their cricket programme.
