Following a hugely successful sporting year for Fettes, including five National Titles (U18 and U15 boys’ hockey, U18 girls’ cricket, U14 Netball and U18 Lacrosse) a number of our students are busy this summer representing Scotland in a range of international events.
In hockey Jack A and Edward M are currently playing for the Scotland U18 team in Krefeld, Germany in the U18 Europeans. They have a tough group playing Belgium, Germany and Ireland but a brilliant opportunity to test themselves against the best junior players in Europe.
Marianna M is currently in Spain where she is playing for the Scotland U16 team in an 8 Nations tournament. Scotland play Spain, Ireland and Germany in the group stages.
In Lacrosse Anna H and Imogen C are playing for the Scotland U19 team, alongside OF Kai Harper in the U19 Europeans in Prague. They face Germany, Ireland and Israel in the group stages.
In cricket 1st XI vice-captain Harry A has been selected for the Scotland U19 team to play in the World Cup qualifiers taking place in Holland in August. Louis B has been selected for the Scotland U17 side and Glen G has been selected for the U15 side. Both will be involved in games against English county sides this summer.
