Bromsgrove School’s exceptional Young Enterprise team, Monito, have achieved an extraordinary milestone by being awarded the prestigious title of UK Company of the Year 2023 at the Young Enterprise Company of the Year awards. Monito is designed to teach children essential financial skills, through the ‘saving koala’. It’s a reward system, the child inserts colourful tokens into the koala, and after they reach a certain point, the parent decides the reward. Their outstanding performance has secured them a spot in the European final, to be held in Istanbul.
The UK Final of the Young Enterprise Company of the Year competition brought together some of the brightest minds in the country, showcasing their entrepreneurial skills and competing for a range of awards. Out of the 13 teams competing, Monito emerged victorious as the ultimate winners of the UK Company of the Year 2023, impressing the judges with their innovative business decisions, eloquent presentation, and comprehensive company report.
The team’s company report received high praise for its well-written and informative content, effectively conveying their journey and achievements. Monito’s success story has been marked by an inspiring journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and personal growth. Despite facing obstacles in communication and refining their business idea, the students persevered, continually developing their individual skills, and strengthening their bond as a team.
Eager to take on their next challenge, Monito is now preparing to represent the UK at the European Final. The students are thrilled about the opportunity to showcase their skills on an international platform and are committed to creating an informative expo stand and an amended company report and presentation that reflects their dedication and innovation.
