Year 12 pupils Charlie, Milly, Danny, Felix, Thaleia and Luke completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge during the May half term, which was a tremendous achievement. The group conquered the challenge in under 12 hours to raise funds for a local charity, Holt Youth Project.

It was a tough day and they covered 24 miles including 1585m of ascent taking on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). They were encouraged and accompanied members of staff who took part in the challenge with them.

The pupils showed each other support and camaraderie throughout. They also agreed to take part in their own time to raise money for charity which showed a great ‘can do’ attitude. The challenge pushed the pupils physically, they all did a great job at motivating each other up the final peak and it was fantastic to see the whole group complete the challenge together.
