Leweston athletes win Gold and Silver in World Biathle and Triathe Championships

Students from Leweston School travelled to the World Biathle and Triathle Championships in Madeira and finished with fantastic results.

Students from Leweston School travelled to the World Biathle and Triathle Championships in Machico, Madeira, over half term, taking part in competitions from 27 to 30 October.

The four days consisted of Biathle and Triathle relays, Triathle, and Biathle. Leweston School had 8 athletes taking part in the various competitions, with fantastic results;

Biathle mixed relay

U11 Izzy 7th, Team Silver

U11 Izzy 12th, Team Silver

Special congratulations to Thomas (Under 17) for taking an Individual Triathle Silver, and Mixed Relay Bronze. Reuben (Under 15) just missed the Bronze by one hundredth of a second but achieved a GB Team Gold! Izzy (Under 11) finished with GB Team Silver in the Triathle and Biathle.

Well done to the whole GB team on an excellent event and to all the Leweston athletes who had a great experience to compete in a World Championships.
