Leweston School donates piano to local care home and will regularly perform for residents.
On Tuesday 19 July, Leweston School re-homed their beloved piano from the Music Department, and donated it to the Trinity Manor Care Home in Sherborne, in hope that any residents may rekindle their passion of music.
Director of Music, Dr Milestone and daughter Lily, Prep 3, dropped off the Piano to the Deputy Manager, Paul Pippard, and were delighted to be greeted by eager residents who wanted to inspect the piano.
Students from Leweston will regularly visit and engage with the Care Home to entertain and build friendships with the residents by performing many songs and playing musical instruments for all to hear from September.
The school is grateful to have started a friendship between students and residents, all through the love of music.
