DLD College London has launched its expanded co-curricular programme for the new academic year, giving students access to more than 50 clubs, activities and enrichment opportunities designed to develop skills, confidence and interests beyond the classroom.
The expanded programme was unveiled at DLD’s Co-Curricular Fair, where students had the opportunity to explore the range of activities on offer and select those that align with their interests, ambitions and personal goals.
Students can join the DLD Dragons Esports Gaming team, increase their flexibility and mindfulness in Pilates, or explore creative and academic interests through podcasting, MedSoc, 3D modelling, robotics, Public Speaking, Current Affairs Society, Drama, and Band Rehearsal, among many others.
The programme is designed not only to provide students with opportunities to pursue existing passions, but also to encourage them to step outside their comfort zones, discover new interests and develop transferable skills that complement their academic studies.
James Kidd, Executive Principal at DLD College London, commented: “Our co-curricular programme is built around our students’ needs and wants, supporting them throughout their academic journey and beyond.
“We emphasise the importance of students getting involved in co-curricular activities as a way of developing their personal learning goals outside of their core studies. With more than 50 clubs and activities to choose from, we want to encourage every student to try something new, develop new skills and build confidence in a safe and supportive school environment.
“What makes the programme particularly exciting is that it continues to evolve with our students. We listen to what they want to learn, experience and explore, and use their ideas to introduce new opportunities across the College.”
