A former student of Myddelton College has addressed the United Nations Human Rights Council at the age of just 19, following a journey that began when he moved to North Wales as a teenager to study for his A-Levels.
Bogdan Golovin, who studied Business and Economics at Myddelton College between 2022 and 2024, delivered a formal statement during the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva on 11 March 2026.
Representing civil society organisation Partners for Transparency, Bogdan spoke under Agenda Item 3 on the importance of combating corruption and protecting human rights.
His appearance at the Council is documented in the official United Nations Web TV archive, where he is listed among the speakers at the 27th Meeting of the 61st session as “Partners For Transparency, Mr. Bogdan Golovin.”
Bogdan moved to North Wales at the age of 15 and says his time at Myddelton played an important role in shaping the independence, ambition and international outlook that he has continued to develop since leaving the College.
“My time at Myddelton remains a very meaningful part of my journey. Moving to North Wales at the age of 15, studying in an international environment and taking Business and Economics at A-Level helped shape my independence, ambition and interest in entrepreneurship.
“I have very positive memories of the College, the people I met there and the opportunities I had to grow both academically and personally.”
After completing his A-Levels in 2024, Bogdan moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he is continuing his education in International Business while pursuing opportunities in entrepreneurship, business development and international affairs.
Alongside his studies, he is the Founder of BOVLA, a web development and digital growth company helping businesses strengthen their online presence, and Co-Founder of Founders Network, an entrepreneurship community connecting founders, investors, students and business leaders through events and professional networking.
Bogdan said he hopes his journey will encourage current Myddelton students to think ambitiously about the opportunities that may lie ahead.
“I hope that my journey can also be encouraging to current students and show how the experiences and foundations built at school can lead to opportunities in international business, entrepreneurship and even institutions such as the United Nations.”
