Hopeful Horizons Team Winners of WOHAA Award!

Posted: 8th July 2026

Huge congratulations to Freemen’s School pupils Ethan, Noah, Rayaan and Toby, collectively known as the Hopeful Horizons team, who won the Overall Prize at the Wings of Hope Achievement Awards (WOHAA) 2025/26 Finals, held at London Business School on Saturday 27 June.

Competing against more than 200 teams from across the country, the Hopeful Horizons team impressed the judges with their commitment, creativity and determination. Their success has earned them an all-expenses-paid educational trip to India, where they will teach at one of the Wings of Hope charity’s education projects while taking part in a programme of volunteering, learning and cultural exchange.

The award was presented by Mrs Rajni Sri Ram and Dr R. Sri Ram, founders of the Wings of Hope charity, whose WOHAA programme has inspired more than 40,000 pupils over the past 21 years.

Throughout the challenge, the team demonstrated outstanding teamwork, creativity and resilience, raising an impressive £5,472. Highlights included a 35 km sponsored walk from Freemen’s to the Indian and Sierra Leone embassies in London, alongside fundraising initiatives such as doughnut sales and a garage sale. They also supported their local community through projects including the Refugee Buddy Club and neighbourhood litter-picking.

This outstanding achievement reflects the team’s dedication and is a wonderful example of Freemen’s values: Learn, Lead and Make a Difference.
