Millfield have received 21 selections for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, so far

The 23rd Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow from 23 July to 2 August 2026, bringing together some of the world’s finest athletes.

Millfield’s 21 selections include eight current students, 10 Old Millfieldians (OMs), two former Performance Swimming Squad members and one member of staff.

Upper Sixth students Filip Nowacki and Tilly Collymore will compete for Jersey and Grenada respectively. Sophie Davies and Megs Higgs will fly the flag for Wales. Riley Watson and Emily Hughes have also earned selections and will represent the Cayman Islands and Northern Ireland.

Ethan Stubbs-Green will make his first appearance at the Commonwealth Games for Antigua. The youngest current student selected is 14-year-old Katie Green, who will represent Gibraltar. All eight students will compete in swimming events, and will be joined at the games by Millfield Head of Swimming, Keiron Piper, who has been selected as a coach for Jersey.

A further ten OMs and two former Performance Swimming Squad members have been selected to represent their nations this summer. 10 will compete in swimming, one will compete in long jump while one has been selected in track cycling.

Olympic champion James Guy MBE will be joined by Emily Richards on the Swim England team. 2024 Olympic gold medallists Matt Richards and Kieran Bird will swim for Wales. Anna Morgan and Evan Jones will represent Scotland, while Emma Harvey will compete for Bermuda. Tatiana Tostevin has been selected for Guernsey, while siblings Jade and Mia Phiri will represent Zambia.

In cycling, OM Lauren Bell will fly the flag for Scotland, enjoying the opportunity to compete on home soil in Glasgow. OM Jazmin Sawyers will compete for team England in the long jump, making it her fourth successive Commonwealth Games.

24 Millfield athletes and coaches took part in the last Commonwealth Games, in Birmingham, winning an exceptional three gold medals, five silvers and six bronzes.
