On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, staff and students from Frensham Heights formed the word Peace. This not only to remember those who gave their lives in past conflicts but also to call for peace around the world.
Following the Last Post played by Sixth Form student, George S, over 500 students and staff held aloft poppies whilst another Sixth Form student, George M captured the moment on a drone.
Frensham’s international students reflected the voices of many nations in past and current conflicts by sharing “For the Fallen” in their native languages, including Romanian, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Korean and Cantonese.
“This was an important moment of coming together to mark Remembrance Day and to express our School Community’s commitment to peace. As always, it was our students that stepped up in the most wonderful way.” Charlie Bennett, Head of History and Sixth Form.
