Barnard Castle School Children in Need

CHILDREN tuned into a national fundraiser by helping BBC Radio 2 presenter Sara Cox raise much needed pounds for Pudsey.

Years 6 pupils from Barnard Castle Preparatory School cheered Sara on as she jogged through John Dickinson’s yard at Winston.

The whole school then went spotty to raise hundreds of pounds for Children in Need. They joined the dots in maths and spotted opportunities in all their lessons, from art to PE, to celebrate the annual charity money-maker.

Headmistress Laura Turner said: “Our children are always the first to help when anything needs to be done for charity but seeing the pain Sara was going through on her epic run really helped the message hit home what Children in Need is truly about.”
