Felsted is once again delighted to announce an excellent set of results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Building on the school’s strong reputation as a leading IB provider, this year’s cohort have achieved a 100% pass rate with an average points score of 34 out of 45 , well above the global average of 30.32.
These impressive achievements have enabled Felsted students to take up offers at a range of prestigious universities around the world, including: Durham, Edinburgh, King’s College London, Bristol, Bath, Warwick, University of San Diego and the Loyola Marymount Film School.
The IB Diploma at Felsted goes far beyond academic success. Students are encouraged to develop as individuals through the programme’s core elements, particularly the ‘Creativity, Activity, Service’ (CAS) component, which challenges pupils to broaden their horizons and become thoughtful, principled global citizens.
“This is a fantastic set of results from a truly impressive group of students,” comments Chris Townsend, Head of Felsted. “They have worked with dedication and enthusiasm throughout their time at Felsted, and should be incredibly proud of all they have achieved. We wish them the very best as they take the next step on their journey.”
Felsted’s top achievers scoring over 40 points (out of a total of 45) are Hannah Page, Taras Prystrom and Anna White.
A keen musician, singer and dancer, Hannah is Felsted’s top IB performer for 2025 with an outstanding 43 points. Having joined Felsted in Year 7 as a Music Scholar, Hannah later received an Academic Scholarship in Year 9. This year, she was selected from thousands to attend both the National and British Youth Music Theatre summer programmes.
‘The Music and Drama departments at Felsted have been so supportive of me during my time here and always make me feel like I’m capable of anything,’ said Hannah. ‘I’m eternally grateful for all the support they’ve given me – and to all my teachers, and boarding family too.’
Hannah aspires to be a clinical psychologist and is going to Edinburgh University to begin her degree in the field, but looks forward to continuing to sing, dance and act alongside.
Taras Prystrom
Taras joined Felsted Sixth Form in 2023 as a full boarder from Ukraine and quickly became an active member of the school community, notably in the school ski team and as a member of the board of directors for Felsted’s Model United Nations conference in 2025, contributing to the planning and leadership of this prestigious event. Most recently, he was the first of his peers to cross the finish line at the Hampton Court Half Marathon, helping to raise over £11,000 for charity.
Having scored 41 points in Maths, Physics, Spanish, Sports Science, Psychology and English A, Taras has secured a place at Bath University to study Engineering.
Anna White
A Senior prefect, Anna joined Felsted in Year 4. Anna achieved 40 points in the IB Diploma programme and studied Geography, DT and English at Higher Level. Anna hopes to read Geography at Durham University. Earlier this academic year, Anna received the prestigious Jack Petchey Achievement Award for her contribution to community life, both within the school and in the wider community.
“Felsted is filled with opportunities. Most recently I found myself in Colombia for the Round Square International Conference. It was amazing to learn about Colombian culture and make friends from all over the globe. Notably I also took part in the Mumbai trip which opened my eyes and I was honored to be able to help out with the Magic Bus charity. Overall Felsted has made me into the person I am today and it’s sad to be leaving – but I’m excited for the next chapter”.
