Felsted Boarders Climb New Heights For Charity

Posted: 21st June 2022

Felsted School’s Ben H, Gus P and Tom S recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for SSAFA – the Soldier, Sailor, Airmen and Families Association, a charity close to their hearts.

The challenge involved climbing Britain’s three highest mountains: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon within 24 hours.

Their remarkable efforts raised over ÂŁ3,000 for SSAFA, in order to support our past and current servicemen and women and their families.

The Felsted boarders, in Deacon’s House, completed the challenge in a time of 21 hours and 45 minutes!

They also took their School’s mascot bear FelsTED on the expedition with them.

Felsted School encourages pupils and staff to make a difference in their everyday lives; from charity bake sales and food bank donations, to their sustainability efforts. Felsted now uses 100% renewable electricity on the school site, as well as compostable coffee cups and plastic-free sanitary products, and has so far raised over £15000 for UK-AID’s Ukraine efforts.
