With a cash prize of up to £20k, complimentary membership to The Conduit, and mentoring from industry experts, it’s another incredible piece of recognition for Kitt Medical that will help them in our overall mission to create a new standard for allergy care.
The scope of the problem that they talk about in the pitch – living with severe allergies, detailing the alarming statistics and studies, referring to case studies like Owen Carey and Natasha Laperouse – it’s deeply personal.
Everyone knows someone living with an allergy, and everyone’s heard the horror stories of what happens when it goes wrong – but the misinformation around cause and treatment is so widespread that it’s led to unnecessary stigma, anxiety, and death.
That’s why they placed so much importance on pitching as themselves, without a slide deck, speaking from their own experiences and providing purely facts – no fluff.
Thankfully the overall effect was strong enough for them to be awarded the Social Justice & Inclusion winner, but they want to also give a huge shoutout to all the other amazing finalists who are ‘transforming our world for the better’, as well as Paul van Zyl, Mehrad Jaberansari & Michael Norton for creating an awesome awards programme!
