Empathy Week 2023

Posted: 2nd September 2022

Empathy Week begins on 27 February, 2023 and we are encouraging BSA Member schools to take part.

Staff at Empathy Week have share with us the following message about next year’s event:

“Empathy Week is an award-winning global schools programme using the power of film to develop the skill of empathy in students across 40+ countries. This coming year the theme is ‘Opportunity and Education’ and features the lives of amazing people from Nepal. Having engaged over 140,000 students so far, Empathy Week is back to continue building the #EmpathyGeneration.

Starting on February 27, 2023, schools can register to get access to the 2023 programme which consists of the following: A five-week films programme, a film-based Empathy action project for students and, new to 2023, a series of online thought-provoking and inspirational events that explore empathy further for teachers, students and even parents! There will be expert speakers from the education sector as well as from across research, psychology, sport, film, the creative industries and more. It’s going to be an epic week of all things empathy!”
