BSA has been in regular dialogue with the Department for Education (DfE) regarding the new National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools, which come into effect on September 5, 2022. As a result, the DfE has kindly provided some in-depth answers to many of the questions members have raised.
The issues relating to Standard 20.10 have generated the largest number of inquiries, and are more complex, so comprehensive answers to those queries are not yet available, but hopefully will be soon. However, to assist with planning we are pleased to provide the current briefing note as it stands, and will update it further as soon as additional information is received.
