Royal Hospital School to host its annual Christmas Fayre this December

Posted: 20th November 2024

On Saturday 7th December the Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook will once again open its doors to the public for its hugely successful Christmas Fayre.

Now entering its 8th year, the Christmas Fayre sees over 50 high quality traders and crafts people gather at the school to provide a selection of the best gifts the region can offer.  Attendees will be able to buy friends and family unique presents from a wide range of gifts including art, clothing, jewellery, accessories, home decor, crafts, and skincare. They will also be able to select from a delicious offering of festive food and drinks.

As part of RHS’ Business BTEC course, its enterprising Sixth Form pupils will be running their own stalls at the Christmas Fayre, offering a range of unique products. This hands-on experience allows them to apply business skills learned in the classroom, from product development to customer engagement, and showcases their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.

The Friends of RHS, who organise and run the Christmas Fayre, do so to raise funds for the School’s Annual Fund which supports wide-ranging projects directly benefiting pupils in the school today. These have included equipment and resources for well-being spaces, new keyboards for the music department, picnic benches for every boarding house, a new and updated sound system for the drama department, and a very popular giant outdoor chess board.

Marion Whitty, Co-chair of the Friends of RHS said: “We are excited to be hosting our annual Christmas Fayre, with the event continuing to go from strength-to-strength each year. We have assembled a stunning group of high-quality stall holders, providing a wide range of remarkable gifts and products, plus there will be a wonderful atmosphere to kick off the festive season.”
