WINDSOR, UK (24 May 2023) St George’s School Windsor Castle, an award-winning independent school in central Windsor for three to 13-year olds, has been named a World Class School following a rigorous two-year accreditation process.
The status, awarded by the High Performance Learning (HPL) organisation, recognises schools which have met the “exacting” HPL Award Standards and demonstrated a world class quality of education throughout.
“Accreditors were particularly impressed by the way the school combines elements of different programmes into its curriculum, the pupils’ overall engagement with learning, and the commitment of the school’s staff,” said Professor Deborah Eyre, Founder and Chair, High Performance Learning, upon confirming the award. “As a team we have all very much enjoyed working with St George’s to date and have found both the staff and the students to be delightfully committed and enthusiastic.”
Grounded in five decades of research into cognitive development, High Performance Learning provides a framework for education which equips children with the essential values, attitudes and attributes they need for lifelong success. Schools embedding the philosophy share a belief that this is attainable for every child and use the framework to empower students to achieve exceptional outcomes through an ambitious school culture.

As a result of the award, the school becomes the first in Berkshire to belong to the elite Fellowship of HPL World Class Schools. Effective immediately, the status will officially be conferred at the HPL Annual Conference in March 2024, to be held at the University of Warwick.
