BSA Filmmaker’s Club

BSA are delighted to launch a brand-new competition designed to give boarders with an interest in film, media and videography a creative platform to share their work, showcase their skills.

About the competition

BSA is asking students to film, edit and submit a short video (no longer than 90 seconds) which beautifully captures a true insight into boarding life. For example, the video might portray a ‘day in the life’ style format or tell a story of the best things about boarding – your students are the directors! Any number of students, of all age groups, can be involved in the film-making process and the more creative the better! Judges will be looking to see busy boarding life, inclusivity, friendships, and fun!

The competition is FREE to enter.

Safeguarding

Schools should ensure any videos submitted are compliant with safeguarding policy and consent from those who feature in the video has been sought. Any students who feature in video entries should remain anonymous.

How will my video be used/shared?

Videos entered into this competition may feature on the BSA website, social media channels and member newsletters. Your video may also feature as part of a compilation at the BSA Annual Conference for Heads in May 2024 and/or BSA & TIOB Annual Boarding Conference in June 2024.

By submitting a video for this competition, you are agreeing for the BSA to share it publicly across our digital channels and at headline conferences as a celebration of boarding. We will endeavour to credit schools in videos where possible.

Winners

Winners of this competition will receive a special prize and certificate from the BSA.
