Posted: 4th April 2023

Riley, who is currently in Year 11 and attends Ormiston Venture Academy in Great Yarmouth, has won a scholarship for a Sixth Form place at Gresham’s School from September 2023. Gresham’s is an independent boarding school for pupils aged 2 – 18, which provides a high quality, fully rounded education for boys and girls from across the UK and overseas. The breadth and diversity of the school community make for a happy, warm and supportive learning environment. Here, Riley will experience independent school life, benefitting from a multitude of enrichment activities, a wide range of sport and belonging to a boarding house. She will also benefit from the facilities in the Dyson Building, the school’s centre for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, due to her academic interests.

Riley aims to complete A levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths, which reflects her academic strengths. She then aspires to go on to study Medicine at university either in the UK or abroad, and then attend medical school and become a surgeon. Alongside her academic aspirations, Riley enjoys playing rugby and has a keen interest in travel, with plans to visit Italy in the near future.

Gresham’s has partnered with Ormiston Venture Academy, to annually offer boarding places to aspiring pupils. Last year, Gresham’s awarded the OVA scholarship to Sama, who is now in Year 12 and is studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology.
