The Badminton School Drama Team were delighted to bring this yearβs musical βThe Wizard of Ozβ to the Peace Memorial Hall on the 25 and 26 November. With auditions in the Summer Term and rehearsals all through the Autumn Term, the journey to the final performances have been full of energy, enjoyment and enthusiasm. It is lovely to see that the cast also felt the same way as is shown in their reflections on the performance.
βThrough Wizard of Oz, I accomplished my very first experience of participating in a school production and it is undoubtedly one of the highlights of my school year. I was fortunate to be selected as part of the cast as Auntie Em, who is Dorothyβs aunt. Personally, aside from having the opportunity to portray a character on stage, the most memorable moment of working on βThe Wizard of Ozβ was seeing my friends perform on stage. The principals especially, shone with enthusiasm and seeing their passion during their performance also brought joy to me. I will definitely miss being called βAuntie Emβ in our attempted American accents backstage!β

βIt was a great and unique experience to play in this theatre. It was exciting to play in front of so many people, and all working together on the play to achieve a really good performance. At the beginning I was a bit scared but with time it went really smooth and just great.β
