Leweston voted Top Performing School in Cross Country Championships

Leweston School voted top performing school at Dorset School’s Cross Country Championships while also winning one Team Gold, one Team Silver, and three Team Bronze Medals!

On Thursday 13 January, over 30 athletes from Leweston School, from minors to 6th form, travelled to Kings Park in Bournemouth to participate in Dorset School’s Cross Country Championships.

With all the results now confirmed, it can reveal that Leweston was the top performing school.

Over 700 athletes from 50 schools across Dorset competed at this prestigious event. All five of the Leweston teams (Minor Boys, Minor Girls, Junior Boys, Junior Girls and Intermediate Girls) finished on the podium, with one Team Gold, one Team Silver, and three Team Bronze Medals!

The school also had some impressive individual results, with Lucy B, Year 10, winning Silver in the Intermediate Girl’s race and Reuben C, Year 9, winning Bronze in the Junior Boy’s event.

3rd/25 Teams

1st/14 Teams (retaining title)

(Izzy W, Year 8 – 4th, Esme L, Year 8, Jess S, Year 8, Arisa B, Year 9, May Selway, Year 9 and Freya W, Year 9 all finished in top 24 out of 110 athletes)

Intermediate Girls:

3d

2nd/19 Teams
