Keswick School: Outstanding and Outstanding!

We are delighted to share, that after two rigorous inspections in the last few months, Keswick School, a state boarding school in the Lake District National Park, have retained their Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ judgements in both boarding and school.  Boarding was last inspected in 2018 and the school in 2014, so to have retained outstanding in both is something we are very proud of.

The boarding inspectors said;

“All children are individually valued, irrespective of their diverse backgrounds, cultures and interests. This is evident in the warm, helpful, caring and positive relationships between all age groups”

“Children recognise and value their growth in confidence from when they began attending school. This is echoed by parents, who appreciate the increased communication from boarding through a weekly illustrated newsletter, and the personal approach of the staff, who will call parents to discuss their child”

“Staff routinely listen to children’s views, and their opinions influence boarding life. This minimises dissatisfaction and complaint because children play a significant role in shaping their own experiences”

“Pupils encounter an impressive range of experiences that support their personal development. They show respect for the many differences that exist between people. Pupils know the signs of a healthy relationship. They know how to look after their physical and mental health”
