Posted: 25th August 2022

Stover School pupils are celebrating their GCSE results today; with more than 87% of all papers receiving grade 4 (equivalent C) or above and 31% of all grades being 7, 8 or 9 (equivalent A or A* outcomes).

Top performers include William Robinson with seven 9s, two 8s and one 7, Jemima Quartly, who achieved five level 9s and four level 8 results, Oliver Quartley with four 9s, three 8s, two 7s and one 6 and Harriet Hall who received four 9s, two 8s, two 7s and two 6s.

The Headmaster, Richard Notman, commented: “This group of Pupils have been impacted most by Covid disruptions, losing teaching in Years 9 and 10 and receiving no allowance with their examination marking. In light of this, their outcomes are considerable. They should be delighted with all they have achieved in the face of much adversity. Both Pupils and Staff have adapted to much change and demonstrated a resilience that will stand them in good stead. Very well done.”
