On Friday 27 May, Royal High School Bath celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by going back to the 1950s with a Vintage Sports Day and tea party. In addition, the Prep school pupils gathered to form the number 70 to mark this momentous occasion.
The whole of the Senior school was out for an action-packed afternoon of fun games followed by a charity cake sale and afternoon tea.
It was wonderful to see so many staff and students taking part in the various games – including egg and spoon races, skipping contests and a very competitive tug-of-war – and physically putting their bodies on the line in the name of their respective houses!
The cake competition and fundraising cake sale was also a huge success. The students and staff certainly rose to the occasion and in the process raised a lot of money for our chosen charity, The Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.
It was a fabulous afternoon to celebrate an historic occasion.
