Blue and yellow were the colours of the day as pupils and staff from Dauntsey’s supported a fund-raising campaign from two Lower Sixth girls to support Ukraine. The students organised a non-uniform day and contacted every HMC (Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference) school to encourage them to get involved. To date more than £9,000 has been raised, and the total continues to increase. The funds will be donated to UNICEF who are working to support those in need in Ukraine.

Currently in Ukraine some 7.5 million children are displaced from their homes, and at sever risk of bombing every day, without access to the bare necessities of life such as clean water, food and electricity. UNICEF is working closely with Ukraine to help these families survive.

If you would like to make a donation, please go to www.justgiving.com and search for UK schools for Ukraine.
