Overview
An all English boarding school has opened in Aichi prefecture in Sep.2022.
We are looking for a House Director required to live on campus during scheduled shifts, with other House Supervisors and Mentors. House Directors have a primary leadership role in proactively and preventatively overseeing the pastoral care and personal development of students in reference to the IB Learner Profile. Crucial to the role is the identification and reporting of real or potential circumstances which may impact upon the students’ studies and developmental progress.
*House Directors/Supervisors are able to live in the dorm without rental fees. (excluding long-term vacations when dorms are closed)
*NUCB provides visa support, but fees for application are to be paid by employee.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Management of House Supervisors/Mentors
-Providing administrative and pastoral care to students
-Planning and conducting student counselling / well-being workshops / Engage programme (sports & recreation)
-Developing school and dormitory policy / rules
Requirements:
・Japanese: Conversational
・English: Fluent
1:Bachelor’s degree with specialization in relation to the role: required
*Master’s degree: preferred
2:Suitable mental and physical condition to carry out the roles: required
3:Experience with schools with boarding facilities (preferably IB Diploma Programme): required
4:Professional counselling or psychology qualification or accreditation / first aid qualification: preferred
5:Experience working with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds: preferred
Working hours and location:
・Working hours: to be decided based on shifts.
・Campus location: Nisshin city, Aichi, Japan
Holidays:
・holidays are based on school calendar
・Summer vacation, special leave for weddings and funerals
・Annual paid holidays:10 days, given after 6 months of employment
Salary:
・Annual salary ¥6M / Year or more
* Salary will be decided based on past work experience and ability
*No transportation allowance available, since the job requires employees to live on campus.
