Children and young people with additional needs and vulnerabilities are at higher risk of seeing harmful content online, more likely to be exposed to conduct risks from others or engage in harmful conduct themselves, experience cyber aggression, and often a mixture of all online safeguarding risks. Likewise, their vulnerability to `contact’ abuse by adults, and other children is significantly increased.
This seminar looks at three key safeguarding concerns through the lens of the child with additional needs and vulnerabilities.

Gaelle is Head of Research Services and Inclusion and joined the BSA in January 2023. She is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a range of state and independent schools. She is a qualified SENCO and holds a Masters Degree in Inclusive Education. Prior to joining the BSA, Gaelle was Deputy Head Pastoral, DSL and Head of Boarding at an all-girls independent school in the South-East.

Hi I have two albums of photos taken at what appears to be a boarding school in 1945/6. I don't know the school - there is only one photo showing any part of the exterior. The photos are excellent - the master who took them was clearly a gifted amateur. I'd like to try to trace the school and ask if they'd like the albums for their archives. I've attempted to scan the one with the exterior. It's firmly glued into the album, so apologies for the poor quality.
