Set in 200 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside, just 10mins from Ipswich and nestled between the Rivers Orwell and Stour, the Royal Hospital School offers exceptional academic and extra-curricular provision for both day pupils and boarders. With excellent resources and dedicated staff, pupils are encouraged to aim high and achieve their personal best. The curriculum is broad and balanced, combining the finest of academic traditions with the latest technologies. The School has a proud reputation for musical excellence and creativity and imagination are fostered through the performing arts. Fitness and well-being are promoted through the enjoyment of a wide range sports, from traditional team games to more specialist pursuits through the RYA accredited Sailing Academy, Graham Napier Cricket Academy, Equestrian Centre and Golf Course. Every pupil has opportunity to pursue a huge range of interests, to discover new passions and develop important values and commitment that will last a lifetime.
Through the School’s parent charity, Greenwich Hospital, generous means-tested bursaries are available on boarding places for children with parents with a seafaring background. This can include service in the Royal Navy, RFA, Royal Marines and some other maritime careers.
