SelaQui International School is a coeducational residential school located about 12 miles from Dehradun on Paonta Sahib road. The School was founded in 2000 and owes its vision to Mr. Om Pathak, a leading educationist and ex IAS officer of the country. The School is open to all sections of the society without any discrimination based on caste, colour or sex and is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The School vision statement revolves on imparting value based education with excellence and leadership as its two main components. Academics: The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) which is education board under the Union government of India. Students enroll in class 5 and at the end of class 12 appear for All India Senior School Certificate Examinations in March. The graduating class consists of about 65 – 70 students every year. The School is counted among best in Dehradun for its academic records with students finding place among top five students of the district almost every year.
Infrastructure and facilities: Situated in an idyllic 52 acres with hills surrounding it, School is beautifully placed away from the din and pollution of the city. The School boasts of six all weather air-conditioned boarding houses, a modern dining hall and an infirmary with a Resident doctor, tuck shop, cafeteria, laundry system, a well-equipped library and smart classrooms. The sports facilities are expansive and include a five hole mini golf course, an equestrian centre, a rifle shooting range, three soccer pitches, two basketball courts, a cricket ground among many others. Placements: The School has a unique academic programme to compliment the regular academic programme. The Gurukul programme is a two years integrated programme for IIT and medical aspirants.The School regularly sends students to IIT, NIT and medical colleges of repute. About one third of the graduating class finds placements in USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Singapore and Australia every year besides reputed colleges of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Similarly, in sports, the Arjuna programme aims to create talents in school and produce sportsperson at national level. SelaQui International School has a very vibrant faculty drawn from the all parts of the country and from the best of the university. The present Headmaster, Rashid Sharfuddin studied at St. Stephen’s College and University of Bath and has been a housemaster at The Doon School, Dehradun.
