Bedford School is a leading independent boarding and day school for pupils aged 7-18 years. From September 2027, the school will welcome girls throughout the Prep and Upper Schools for the first time. Pupils at Bedford School enjoy first-class facilities, an extensive 50-acre estate and a strong community connection within the vibrant market town of Bedford, at the heart of which it lies.
Bedford is a boarding school, first and foremost, with boarders and day pupils alike benefitting from the strong boarding ethos. With 200 pupils and around 40 staff living full-time on-site, and a dedicated all-girls house planned for September 2027, the boarding community gives a heartbeat to the school in a way that nothing else can.
