Christ’s Hospital is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivational individual with a passion for Rugby Union. The candidate will be highly motivated and fully prepared to undertake the demands of working in a unique co-educational boarding school, existing to provide a first-class education to children from all backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in rugby, and experience of working with children. A formal qualification (England Coaching Award) is desirable but not essential.

Rugby is played as the main sport for boys in the Michaelmas Term. As a Rugby Coach you will work closely with the Director of Rugby in providing high quality coaching and you will be given responsibility for co-coaching a Senior XV. As students’ progress through school a greater focus is placed on tactical awareness whilst still emphasising the importance of individual skill development. Within the senior teams more emphasis is placed on team play and maximising individual performance. The successful candidate will work up to 12 hours per week across four days including Saturdays, term time only, for the 13-week Michaelmas term (1st September-12th December).
